About
The Heart Behind Whiskers & Waves
A Certified Veterinary Technician with 25 years of clinical experience — and a lifelong devotion to the animals in our care.
My Story
Alicia Parkins, CVT
Hi, I'm Alicia — the heart behind Whiskers & Waves Concierge Pet Care. For more than 25 years, I've dedicated my life to caring for animals in veterinary medicine. What began as a calling became a career, and that career became a deep, unwavering commitment to the wellbeing of every animal I meet.
After decades working alongside veterinarians in clinical settings, I recognized a gap: the families who needed the most expert care for their pets — those with medically complex animals, seniors, or simply high standards — often had nowhere to turn outside of a clinic. Whiskers & Waves was born from that realization.
Today, I bring that same clinical precision and genuine compassion directly into your home. Whether your pet needs daily companionship, medication management, post-operative support, or full concierge coordination, you can trust that they are in the most capable, caring hands.
My Philosophy
"Every pet deserves the kind of care I would want for my own."
I believe that exceptional pet care is built on three things: expertise, trust, and genuine love for animals. I don't rotate staff, I don't send strangers to your home, and I don't cut corners. When you work with Whiskers & Waves, you work with me — one dedicated professional who knows your pet by name, understands their history, and treats them as the family member they are.
